Dan Bongino and the New Journalism

SPECIAL REPORT: The New Journalism

Dan Bongino and the New Journalism

Several years ago I did a seminar at Atlanta’s Georgia Tech Convention Center. CNN was constantly broadcast through the public spaces and the restaurants and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un was lobbing his missiles over Japan. The President of the United States responded directly and forcefully to this show of aggression but the constant theme of the CNN talking heads was constant: “Blather Blather Blather Blather…. TRUMP’S GONNA DESTROY THE WORLD!!!” Amazingly there was little critical analysis, just a repeating of the mantra. It got old. I took quite a few walks outside, toured the Chandler Mansion and drank “Atlanta Holy Water” at the famous Varsity Restaurant. Walking back into the Georgia Tech Convention Center after one such jaunt, I said “hello” to a fellow attendee in the lobby. “What’s it like out there?” he asked, “I haven’t been outside in THREE DAYS!” I responded rather curtly: “You need to get out there.” More of us need to get out there.

I’ve decided to drop out of a lot of media and social media, but there are a few places where a brief visit can give you quite a bit of hard news and thoughtful analysis. Dave Zenatti on Public Square [click to read] is one. Newsmax [click to read] is another. The legends of talk radio, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck are as well. But if you are really looking for a fresh perspective in a limited amount of time I recommend Dan Bongino. [click to read]. While the mainstream media is repeating its mantras, Dan goes straight to the source as he brings on guests like Rudy Guliani to talk about the recent election. Did you know Guliani and his team have identified 650,000 questionable ballots in Pennsylvania? You probably won’t hear about that on the nightly news but Bongino pumps his guests for hard evidence. His findings give you a depth of understanding and perspective you won't find many other places.
